Local Service Team

BALLARD FOOD BANK
We are supporting the BALLARD FOOD BANK with non-food items and hygiene products through December 9 and in conjunction with our Seattle Holiday Jingle Jam.

Ballard Food Bank provides those in need with access to nutritious food through their grocery-style food bank, no-cost café, home delivery, and Weekend Food for Kids program. They also host the Community Resource Hub where partner organizations offer a range of services to help our most vulnerable neighbors on the path to self-sufficiency.

Please help us generously support them by specifically donating MOST-NEEDED non-perishable food items and unopened hygiene products. Check the Ballard Food Bank website for details about most-needed items.

Bins are located just inside the front door to the sanctuary and at the bottom of the stairs down to Fellowship Hall.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!

Gift of the Month Club

Each month we choose a charitable activity supporting a local organization organization providing services.  Some are long-standing traditions, some change each year.  The pandemic has interfered with some of our activities, but others continue.

For example:

Soup-er Bowl – our annual co-opetition with Center for Spiritual Living-Seattle and other CSL congregations to collect canned foods and funds for the food bank each chooses.  Amazing Grace supports Ballard Food Bank, a multi-service food bank serving our neighborhood and beyond.

Wellspring Family Services – we collect gifts and gift cards for homeless and recently housed children whose families are supported by this multi-service agency.

Chief Seattle Club – we collect funds for this Native-led housing and human services agency, in acknowledgment of the history of this land.

The Bridge Care Center – we collect clothing and other supplies for this organization serving women and men experiencing homelessness or economic hardship in our Ballard neighborhood.
