FINANCE AND OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

Amazing Grace Spiritual Center, a Seattle-based New Thought congregation, seeks a part-time Finance and Operations Manager to become part of our Center’s collaborative leadership team. The ideal candidate is a skilled nonprofit bookkeeper who values working with others for the common good.

 

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

This is a parttime position averaging 25 hours per week.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Finance and Operations Manager will perform all financial operations, ensure compliance, and oversee management of the facility.  Specifically, they will

 

FINANCE

  • Perform all bookkeeping and accounting functions using QuickBooks

  • Pay payroll and independent contractors and submit government reports

  • Create draft annual budget and monitor expenses against budget

  • Participate in CORE Council (Board of Directors) as a non-voting member

  • Provide monthly financial reports to CORE Council

  • Report to CORE Council and Senior Minister on project and program finances as requested

  • Participate in Finance Committee’s quarterly review of financial records

  • Create annual giving reports to donors

  • Track annual pledge campaign commitments and giving

  • Maintain fund accounting within main account, and one subsidiary account, tracking receipts and making disbursements when authorized

  • Provide support to fundraising activities

  • Maintain online registration for classes / events

 

COMPLIANCE

  • Report to and maintain licenses with government agencies

  • Report to denomination home office, including payment of student fees

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations

 

OPERATIONS

  • Maintain/coordinate four contact databases

  • Cooperate with fundraising and special events

  • Oversee building maintenance and rentals and manage volunteers

  • Order supplies

Mail Chimp

Desirable:

      BREEZE

      Event registration software

      Survey software

   

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Full-charge nonprofit fund-accounting bookkeeping on accrual basis (3 years desired)

Management of small business operations and facilities

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

25 hours per week average

$25-$30 per hour, DOE

Three weeks of paid time off annually

$400 monthly medical allowance
